How do you unlock every weapon in Sephiria, including Katana?
Sephiria officially has six weapon branches: Sword & Shield, Greatsword, Crossbow, Dagger, Blade (previewed as Katana) and Staff. The official Staff update documents Destiny Inscription as its unlock route, but the reviewed first-party notes do not provide complete step-by-step requirements for every branch, so this guide leaves those missing conditions open.

01Start with the confirmed six weapon branches
The official Sephiria store description confirms six distinct weapons, while the launch update describes six weapon branches with more than 200 upgrades in total. First-party announcements identify the set as Sword & Shield, Greatsword, Crossbow, Dagger, Blade (originally previewed as Katana) and Staff. Use the weapon index to compare their combat role before following an upgrade record.
A branch and an upgrade are not the same thing. The branch determines the basic combat rhythm; individual upgrades modify attacks or connect the weapon to a damage type, Artifact or build route. Search results often mix “unlock a weapon” with “unlock a weapon upgrade,” so the first useful step is identifying which of those two questions you actually have.

- Greatsword — committed attacks and heavy cleave decisions.

02Separate branch access from upgrade discovery
When a search result says “all weapons,” it may be referring to the six base branches, the hundreds of upgrades offered during progression, or a named upgrade that visually resembles another weapon. Treating all three as the same unlock creates misleading instructions. This page therefore links to the branch catalogue and the upgrade database as separate destinations.
For an upgrade, record the exact on-screen name, icon, branch, game version and the point in the run where it appeared. That evidence is more useful than a cropped screenshot or an old community list because patches can add upgrades and revise ownership. The 1.0 release alone added new upgrades to Greatsword, Dagger, Crossbow and Staff.
03Why Blade and Katana refer to the same branch
TEAM HORAY’s May 2025 preview announced Katana as a new weapon type and described its alternating normal and special attacks. The official 2025 update recap later records the September addition as the new weapon “Blade.” The timeline and matching weapon slot support treating Katana as the preview name for Blade, not as a separate seventh branch.
The name is confirmed; a complete current unlock sequence is not. Staff has an explicit Destiny Inscription unlock note, while Blade/Katana and the other branches still need reproducible, current-version steps before this guide can publish exact requirements.
04Use this checklist before following an unlock claim
Check that the guide names the current version, distinguishes a base branch from an upgrade, and shows a reproducible condition. A title or thumbnail is not enough evidence. If the claimed condition depends on a chapter, quest, character, difficulty level or Destiny Inscription, the guide should show that dependency explicitly.
