When to choose Faded Shield Crest

Choose Faded Shield Crest when you can already land Perfect Guards with Sword & Shield. You gain Weapon Damage immediately, then earn higher Weapon Damage and cheaper Block after the 50 successful Perfect Guards required for evolution.

1.Carry the Crest while practicing enemy attack timings you can reliably guard.
2.Land 50 successful Perfect Guards. Holding Block or pressing it without a successful Perfect Guard does not fulfill the named requirement.
3.Once it becomes Crest of the Iron Wall, account for Weapon Damage +15/20/25 and Block cost -20/30/40% when choosing between offensive and defensive upgrades.
